Telangiectasia also known as ‘Spider Veins’ are small clusters of red or blue Veins, they can appear on both the Legs and Face and can occur in healthy people or as a result of an underlying illness.
Telangiectasia is a common skin condition that usually effects clients in their 40s,50’s and 60’s. The condition is where widened blood vessels cause thread like red lines or patterns on the skin, these lines usually appear slowly over a period of time and usually in small clusters.
These ‘spider’ like veins are common on areas such the Cheeks, Nose and Legs, whilst they are in no way dangerous, they are usually noticeable and can cause clients to feel self conscious.
At Aesthetics of Liverpool we are able to offer two forms of treatment, Laser Therapy and Short Wave Diathermy both of these can help to banish Spider Veins leaving behind smooth bright skin.
Spider Veins vary in appearance but can have the following characteristics:
• Appear close to the surface of the skin.
• Look like spider webs or tree branches.
• They are usually red and blue.
• Most commonly occur on the legs and face.
• Can often occur next to Varicose Veins.
